Caribbean Destination Weddings

Every wedding – no matter how large or small – involves many details to be looked after.  To make your planning easier, we have compiled this list of items you may not have considered in the excitement of creating your special day, particularly if you are hosting guests during a Caribbean destination wedding.  Other questions are answered in the FAQ section.  Of course, your dedicated Romance Planner is on hand to answer any other questions or concerns you may have for your wedding or Caribbean wedding reception.

Seating arrangements and room set-up
Most rooms and outdoor venues can be set up to match your plans. We offer flexible seating ranging from eight to 12 guests per table.


Dance floor and risers
These are fully mobile and adaptable to your specifications.


Ceremony Room
Hyatt Regency Trinidad can create a ceremony room set in round or chapel style, if needed.


Order of Events
From traditional to your own unique vision, allow your Romance Planner to assist you in deciding the flow of your day.


Audio-visual equipment
Our on-site audio-visual experts can help you execute your ideas, from a slide show to special lighting.


Ice Sculptures
Our team of culinary experts can create an ice sculpture to match your theme, from simple to the most elaborate ideas.

Complimentary self-parking is offered for your guests.


Guest rooms
Special room rates are available for out-of-town guests.  Rooms and rates are subject to availability.


Wedding Cake
Our pastry chef can create the cake of your sweetest dreams.  Please contact your Romance Planner for details on our cakes and pastries.


Gold Passport
Hyatt Gold Passport points are awarded for all food and beverage purchased for your wedding at Hyatt Regency Trinidad. Two points are awarded for each dollar spent for all events starting after 5:00p.m. Every 8,000 points earned allows one overnight stay to be used at a later date.

All food and beverage must be catered through Hyatt Regency Trinidad. A 21% Service Charge will be applied to all food and beverage items. Sales tax will be added to all food prices and miscellaneous fees. A non-refundable advance deposit of 20% of the total event fee is required along with a signed copy of the Catering Contract. Payment in full is required prior to your event. When paying by personal check, payment must be received no later than 10-business days prior. If paying with a cashier’s check or credit card, payment is due no later than 3-business days prior. A completed credit card authorization form is required to be on file for any charges in excess of the estimated amount. Our menus and pricing are subject to change without notice until a final contract is signed. A credit card must be kept on file for any overages and/or incidental charges following the event.


A final number of guests is required three business days prior to your event. This number is your guarantee and may not be lowered. The hotel will prepare meals for 3% over the guaranteed count. Final charges are based on your guarantee or actual attendance, whichever is greater.
